Olubadan Commends Tinubuโs Student Loan Initiative, Rallies Oyo Students
The Olubadan, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, has thrown his weight behind the @NELFUND student loan scheme and, frankly, this is the kind of intervention that can change lives if properly embraced.
He praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the initiative, describing it as a timely relief for parents struggling with the rising cost of education. According to him, Ibadan and Oyo State must not be left behind in benefiting from what he called one of the good things coming from this administration.
What stood out for me was his commitment to not just endorse the scheme verbally but actively mobilise students. The palace plans to either establish advocacy centres or work through existing CBT centres to guide students through the application process. In his words, they intend to โinundateโ NELFUND with applicants from Ibadan and across Oyo State.
NELFUND officials also revealed that Oyo currently leads the South West in applications and disbursement under the scheme. Over 84,000 applications worth N18.7 billion have already been recorded in the state, with more than 75,000 students benefiting so far. Yet, according to the agency, less than half of eligible students in Oyo have applied. That tells you there is still a massive gap in awareness and participation.
Arsenal is either about to give me the biggest joy or the biggest heartbreak at the end of the season, but regardless Iโd still support this club forever.
The beginning of the end. ๐

Dear @Zlatan_Ibile
Iโve attached photos of me conducting free French tutorials at the University of Ibadan over the past 4โ5 years. Iโm confident in my ability to handle basic French lessons effectively if given the opportunity.
Thank you for your consideration.
