Nolan just shot the first film in history entirely on IMAX 70mm, a format so demanding almost no cinema can run it.

- Only 25 theaters in the US, and fewer than 40 worldwide, can show the true 70mm print
- The real aspect ratio is nearly square, 1.43:1, unlike anything in a normal theater
- Budget was 250 million dollars, shot by longtime Nolan collaborator Hoyte van Hoytema
- Every other screen on earth shows a cropped digital version instead

If you are not near one of those 40 theaters, you are watching a different movie.
