Africa Without Borders is pleased to present the panelists of its upcoming online conference: “KISWAHILI: BETWEEN IDENTITY, INNOVATION AND DYNAMICS OF INTEGRATION IN AFRICA”.

🎙️ Mr. Aaron Adroit Mukandabvute: A lecturer at the University of Zimbabwe, he specializes in Kiswahili, Bantu languages and multilingualism. He will discuss the role of Kiswahili in education, research and scientific knowledge production.

🎙️ Hon. Said Abdallah Mchangama: An economist, former Minister of Finance and former President of the National Assembly of the Union of the Comoros, he will examine the role of Kiswahili in African unity, mobility and inter-state cooperation.

🎙️ Mr. Kevin Philips Momanyi: An international digital journalist and documentary reporter at TRT World, TRT Swahili and TRT English, he will explore the contribution of Kiswahili to media, cultural industries, communication and international outreach.

🎙️ Dr. Levi Kahaika Masereka: A specialist in translation, interpretation and advocacy at the East African Kiswahili Commission, he will present institutional policies and strategies for the promotion and development of African languages.

🇳🇪 AWB was honored to visit the Embassy of the Republic of Niger in Türkiye and meet Mr. Mounkaila Yacouba, First Counselor of the Embassy, in Ankara.

The discussions focused on Pan-African cooperation, youth empowerment, academic excellence, and strengthening collaboration between AWB and African diplomatic institutions in Türkiye.

AWB also officially submitted the invitation for Africa Day 2026 under the theme: “Ujima: From Continental Governance Perspectives to Global Ambitions.”

The Nigerien Chancellery welcomed the initiative and reaffirmed its support for projects promoting African youth development and Pan-African engagement.

The Embassy of Chad in Türkiye positively welcomed the initiative and confirmed its participation in the event.

On 9 Feb 2026 in Ankara, AWB conducted two strategic visits, reaffirming its commitment to academic dialogue & institutional cooperation.

At Ankara Social Sciences University, discussions with Assoc. Prof. Mürsel Bayram @MurselBayram focused on African studies & Pan-African youth engagement.

The delegation also met Zehra Büyüktavşan @ZBuyuktavsan at TİKA, highlighting sustainable and inclusive Africa–Türkiye cooperation driven by youth movements.
