@corn_porkNbeans Do you see any punchers in the pod were the bean was lost? I have noticed stinkbugs doing this and forfeiting beans in more normal years.
Some of the tools that are included with weather charts, include displaying Operation dates. In this example, we can see when we got rain after sidedressing 32%. Overlaying @AgLeaderTech and others for better decisions in the future, and remembering possible issues this year.
@AgLeaderTech Being able to show local weather for your fields, and benchmarking to the average, or to other notable years like 2012 in your area can help to put things in perspective and set expectations.
A year in review- This is a weather chart now availible in @AgLeaderTech#SMS telling a story about the year that was. And boy 2023 says a lot so far. Note flat lines shortly after planting, and later during grain fill for Precip. see thread for more details
@AgLeaderTech Adding in a 10 year average, and using the tooltips to show the details you can see we are currently 7 inches under the average for the year, as are many locations throughout the Midwest
Last week @AgLeaderTech released updates to #SMS. 2 new tools for viewing historical weather, and direct imports for Sentinel-2 imagery were apart of this update. Will be highlighting these tools in the days to come, and some “How do I use it” scenarios as well.
@farmerschneck I am doing something very similar this year with towing a Montag... hoses are the next step, do you have any closeups or tips I can steal? what did you use for fert openers?
Easily view all of your farm data in one spot with our new extended list of supported file formats. Simply upload the files to the My Files page in #Agfiniti and be ready to start making informed decisions for your operation for the upcoming year. @AgLeaderTech
@AgLeaderTech Areas in red on the left are 0 rates while green show higher rates. If you trimmed the budget for this field, it would start with lowest values first, and move closer to the next higher rate. Scaling all values, and reducing the highest rates are also options to meet budget
One of the new features in v23.0 of #SMS is a tool to adjust an RX based on cost. There are several methods, but one popular option is to reduce the lowest rates of an RX to 0. This allows the areas of the field that need fertilizer the most get the full rate. @agleadertech
@formerTedHamer1@weedgirl24 Sat in a presentation at a conference discussing measurement of soil biology.. those undies might just be the key to new bugs in a jug 😉
This trial was the same rates, and hybrid used in 2 different fields. The thing that stands out is that even with higher commodity prices, the related input costs keep the highest returns in about the same place as a few years ago. What did you do for a trial this year?
Now that we are nearing the end of Harvest, we can start to evaluate this years trials to see where profit is made...@AgLeaderTech and #SMS with Field Trials Module give a lot of information to aide in next years crop planning
I think this is pretty cool! Al Myers and Elon Musk being inducted into the National Academy of Engineering at the same time! Congratulations Al!… you too Elon @AgLeaderTech
Fert Efficiency provides you with a snapshot of the amount of nutrient used per bu of crop. This may apply more to Corn crops with Nitrogen and Bu of production, but will work for all crop/macronutrient combinations. Use to help test N rates, or methods #SMS@agleadertech
