Erik Crew, Staff Attorney with @HaitianBridge, is testifying about the longtime inequity created by neocolonial imperialism—which drives the migration industrial complex. Just yesterday, he shares, the U.S. approved yet another deportation flight of Haitians seeking asylum.
To seek better conditions, the racist colonial, oppressive policies, laws and narratives that give nations, states, and militarized governments the right to exclude deport and control movement has to be thoroughly challenged.
It's a matter of drawing lines often of who's in and who's out and creating identities that can be grounded in oppression today.
We're here to demand an end to the invisibility of people seeking their right to movement and freedom,
