When I first learned about the phenomenon of Bitcoin adoption in the Global South from @gladstein back in 2022, I had zero clue about what I was about to get into.

I've been coming to Africa for 4 years now, and every visit leaves me mindblown. Bitcoin is quickly becoming real money for many communities on the continent. After my first visit to @AfroBitcoinOrg, I knew we as @Trezor needed to get involved and catalyze the adoption as much as possible. That led to the launch of @TrezorAcademy.

This short film is our attempt to explain the Why of Bitcoin in Africa. It's free. You only have to pay attention.
