I was on a flight from Uganda back to Nigeria, transiting through Cairo for 3 good hours.

No WiFi. No internet. No way to reach family or send a work document.

This is a problem every traveller knows. You land in a transit country and you're completely cut off. Roaming either doesn't work or costs a fortune.

But this time was different.

Before I left Uganda, I opened my @fedibtc app, went to LnESIM, a mini app inside Fedi and bought an Egyptian eSIM with sats.

I landed in Cairo, turned on my phone, connected to the Orange network, and I was online. Called my family. Handled work. Zero stress.
