Once a small and beautiful city has been ruined thanks to greedy ruling elite who allowed mushroom growth of housing societies in a small city.
Just imagine that more than 200 housing societies both legal and illegal were allowed within 24km radius of Islamabad District, thus raising population from 800,000 in 1998 to around 30,000,00 today.
Now city is dying under massive burden of population and traffic congestion. Its not over yet.
More societies are being built and illegal being regularized to put a final nail in its coffin.

What would you do if someone offered Rs48 lac for your Rs50 lac plot, probably you would ignore and say no, you wouldnt think something is really wrong with my plot.

This Tuesday, PSX dropped by exactly that percentage: 3.6%.

And people are panicking.

6,400 points sounds catastrophic. But points are not percentages. A 3.5% correction on property would not even register. Why does it make you question your entire investment thesis in stocks?

Because you dont know the actual value of your stocks, the value of the business behind the company.

This is the knowledge that separates value investors from the rest.

BTW, there was an episode in Lahore in 1947 where Indian army orders to pathankot were accidentally routed thru Lahore (the pre partition route for that signal went thru Lahore Cantonment).. the officers who had the info ran to wake up the chief civil servant (Mohammed Ali iirc who happened to be staying in the city, and his bearer refused to wake him up.. Sahib is not to be disturbed
