Sprucing up an abandoned corner: Old age depression is hardly talked about in Asia. People tend to hide under the guise of filial piety or respect to avoid asking their elderlies if they’re okay.

Current project: Beautiful rubbish bin area. Check out the clear rain water in the storm drain. We have plenty to do but I really enjoy cleaning and changing up the space ✨

By choosing homegrown flowers, I exposed myself to uncertainties, imperfections and surprises; situations I can’t control and have to live in harmony with.
This taught me the joy of winning and losing in life.

The food quality by the seaside is five star, if you live like a local. Our parents bought a fresh haul of crabs and fish from the fishing station for lunch today. My mother boiled the crabs with turmeric leaves and lemongrass. Homegrown, of course.

Don’t mistake burnout for laziness.
When people show a steady decline in effort and output, it’s often a sign of exhaustion.
They don't need carrots and sticks to motivate them. They need people to demand less of them and provide more support to them.
The bulbul’s nest fell out of the curry tree. It’s about palm size, made of fine woven dry grass, shredded plastic strings and discarded tissue paper.

The best place to relax is near water.
After just 2 minutes of viewing water outdoors, blood pressure and heart rate drop. It's more calming to look at a lake, pool, or stream than trees or grass.
Beaches are popular for a reason. Wider bodies of water bring more tranquility.
The heatwave has left and refreshing rain occurs daily. We’re not sure where the crocuses came from, but they spring out after the rain from the grass. They’re also known as rain lilies here.
What a joyful sight.
