I have written a book ✍️ titled "Pages from a Tent in the Gaza War", and now I’m sharing with you the fourth day from this book.

Day Four – A Night Without Sleep

The night was long, and sleep felt impossible. The sound of explosions echoed in the distance, and every blast shook the ground beneath our tent. I held Adam close to me, feeling his small heart racing against my chest, while Imad clung to Yara, whispering that he was afraid.

Inside the tent, darkness was heavy. There was no light except the sudden flashes from the bombs outside, turning the fabric of the tent into a screen of fire and shadows. Each flash reminded us how close death was, and each second felt like eternity.

I whispered to Imad, telling him stories of his toys and his room, trying to paint for him a picture of the home we once had. His eyes slowly closed, not because he felt safe, but because exhaustion finally overcame his fear.

That night, I didn’t sleep. I kept listening, waiting, praying that morning would come and we would still be alive to see it. And when the first faint light appeared on the horizon, I felt a strange kind of victory — surviving one more night in Gaza.
