I had a great time attending Wisconsin Farm Technology Days today. I learned a lot about cover crops from Matt Oehmichen from @ag_lane! Events like Farm Technology Days are an excellent resource for our farmers to stay up to date with industry trends and innovations.

.#Wiscweeds update from the field 🌱
We’ve been evaluating Rapidicil (active ingredient epyrifenacil), a new PPO-inhibiting herbicide (Group 14) by @ValentUSA, for cereal rye cover crop termination.
One interesting observation from our research: this chemistry provides rapid burndown of high-biomass cereal rye cover crop.
⚠️ Rapidicil is still pending EPA approval.
This is NOT an endorsement, simply sharing research observations that may be relevant for growers and advisors exploring options for management of high biomass cover crop systems.
🔥 CLARENCE THOMAS IS THE ABSOLUTE GOAT!
"I'd rather die than withdraw. If they're gonna kill me, they're gonna kill me."
Q: So you'd still like to serve on the Supreme Court?
THOMAS: "I'd rather die than withdraw from the process. Not for the purpose of serving on the Supreme Court, but for the purpose of not being driven out of this process."
"I will not be scared. I don't like bullies. I've never run from bullies. I never cry uncle, and I'm not gonna cry uncle today whether I want to be on the Supreme Court or not."'

Glufosinate alone 😀 Mesotrione alone 😕 Glufosinate + mesotrione 🔥😎
That’s the power of effective herbicide tank mixtures.
Deploying synergistic tank mixes with multiple effective sites of action is critical for improving weed control and helping delay herbicide resistance evolution. But stewardship matters: rotate those mixtures and avoid over-reliance on the same chemistries… otherwise we know where that road leads.
Synergistic tank mixes help, but overreliance on the same mixtures still selects for resistance. Diversity and stewardship remain key for long-term weed management success.
We are evaluating 150+ potential tank mixtures for foliar #waterhemp (Amaranthus tuberculatus) control. Stay tuned. 👀

A few months ago when the shop teacher got fired I approached the principal on how I could help. He was the 5th one in 6 years. Ag teacher wasn’t any better until this year and now we have a good one. Next year I will be teaching auto mechanics, body and welding. Today I went in to help prepare for an FFA competition. I am no ag influencer or been invited to the infamous farmcon but as community members we must step in and help the next generation by more than talking. Today was great and I can’t wait for what the future beholds.
This was a large middle processor that we caught mixing other beef (cutting it) with ours. When we confronted them our orders went up 3X-4x to what they should have been. It wiped us out trying to keep up after artificially suppressing the demand.
My number is on our website if anyone wants to hear the story from the direct source.
🔥The Farm Bill that includes my 🥩 PRIME Act pilot just passed the House!
This is a game changer for farmers — and provides access to locally raised beef, pork, and lamb for consumers!
We also stripped the immunity/state labeling ban for pesticides from the Farm Bill. MAHA!
