Every delayed road project costs people time, business, and opportunities. That is why, the inspection of the Kira–Kasangati–Matugga Road focused on results, not routine checks.

I directed the contractor to immediately speed up the works after @GovUganda has resolved key land issues. We will also complete payment for the remaining project affected persons, removing the last barriers to progress.

The contractor must deliver the Kyaliwajjala–Kira-Kasangati section to the Junction by December 2026 and continue regular dust control and maintenance on all sections under construction.

Additionally, the stretch to Matuga must be completed by July next year.

"The FA charged Chelsea FC with 74 breaches of FA Rule E1.2 after its current ownership self-reported misconduct upon its purchase of the club. The FA is continuing to investigate individual misconduct arising out of this case.

"Chelsea FC admitted to the 74 breaches of FA Rule E1.2 prior to a hearing and an independent Regulatory Commission imposed a six-point deduction, which was to be suspended until 30 June 2027, and a £10 million fine. 

"The club appealed against the suspended points deduction and an independent Appeal Board allowed the appeal and set aside this sanction following a further hearing. In its place, the Appeal Board imposed a registration ban for two complete and consecutive transfer windows which is suspended until 30 June 2027. 

"The £10 million fine imposed by the Regulatory Commission was not subject to appeal and the full amount will be invested into grassroots football."

On-going Road Upgrade Projects:

➡️ Luwero-Butalangu Road; 29 KM road at 80% expected to be completed in August 2026 funded by BADEA/OFID and @GovUganda .

This road connects Luweero District to Nakaseke District and the upgrade from gravel to Class II bitumen/tarmac.

The road serves a highly agricultural area meant to boost trade, cut vehicle costs, and improve access to services in Luweero and Nakaseke.
