everyone has an en passant story about how they found out it exists
mine happened while i was playing someone from the usa on chess. com, at one point he pushed a pawn forward and suddenly my king was in check. I looked at the board for like two whole minutes because it genuinely looked like checkmate to me but the game wasn’t ending.
i kept thinking, “if i’m checked then why haven’t i lost yet?”
turns out there was only one legal move: en passant.
my opponent kept typing “play en passant” in the chat and i had absolutely no idea what that even meant 😭 after explaining it a few times, i still didn’t understand, got frustrated, resigned the game, and immediately searched “what is en passant” afterwards.
that’s how i discovered one of the weirdest rules in chess. what’s your en passant story?
Last night my friend got proposed to for marriage after being in a relationship for 11 years and right after wearing the ring, the first person she called was me. I still missed the call 😭 at this point missing calls on time is basically my personality trait
my mom’s phone got lost somewhere and now the number is switched off. The problem is, I don’t remember the password of the email linked to it and there isn’t enough recovery information added except the password or phone number. Does anyone have any idea how I can recover the email ID so I can at least track the phone? Please help if anyone knows a way.
I was on a call with my friend while casually playing chess and in the middle of the game I went, “Oh, e4,” and from the other side she confidently replied, E for elephant? 😭
