Honoring Nichole M. Frye, a courageous Army Reservist who gave her life in service during Operation Iraqi Freedom. She was KIA on February 16, 2004, at 19 years old. Her dedication and sacrifice remind us of the true cost of freedom. Rest easy Hero🇺🇸
Please help me honor Shannon Smith Kent, she enlisted in the US Navy, at 18 years old. By 2007, she was running missions in Iraq with Special Operations teams. In 2013, she trained with elite forces where she met Joe Kent whom she married in 2014 and welcomed two sons, never slowing down in the military's toughest roles. Cancer struck her in 2016. She beat thyroid cancer, recovered, and returned to duty. Smith dreamt of becoming a psychologist to help veterans with PTSD, she hit a wall: Navy rules barred her advancement because of her cancer. Shannon fought back, took her case to Congress, and won-changing policy and opening doors for countless others. In 2018, she deployed to Syria with the same unbreakable spirit. On January 16, 2019, at age 33, a su*cide bombing in Manbij took her life. Posthumously promoted to Senior Chief and awarded the Bronze Star, Purple Heart, and Defense Meritorious Service Medal. Rest easy Hero 🇺🇸
This is what real community looks like, and I’m still smiling about it.
Tonight at 6pm, pitch dark outside, one headlamp between us, we processed two big turkeys for my neighbors.
No fancy setup, just good people, sharp knives, a couple buckets, and that one trusty headlamp getting passed around like we were surgeons in a field hospital and then, without missing a beat, they hand me an absolutely massive dressed-out bird (easily 40 lbs) and say, “This one’s yours. Happy Thanksgiving.” I tried to protest. They wouldn’t hear it.
That’s the kind of neighbors everyone dreams of having. The kind who don’t just wave from the driveway; they show up, roll up their sleeves, and share the load. And when the work is done, they share the harvest too.
In a world that keeps trying to sell us convenience and isolation, this right here is the real deal: people who know your name, who trade labor for laughter, who bless you ten times over for simply showing up.
Grateful doesn’t even begin to cover it. This is what community is supposed to feel like.
Happy Thanksgiving, friends. May your table be full and your people even fuller. 🦃🍗
Good Morning My Dear Family. Happy Wednesday! Let us remember to give thanks to God for everything He has given us! Without Him we would not be here! Keep Praying & Be Watchful. Big Hugs & Strong Coffee! 🙏🇺🇸❤️🤗☕️
When was the last time you saw beef advertised on tv?
Why do we pay cattle check off money on every public sale of beef but never see anything come from it?
The @BeefUSA gets much of that money funneled to them but yet they still don’t push for MCOOL!
Where’s the beef?!!🥩
