Another Major Win in House District 100! 🌳: After more than 50 years of broken promises, we are finally making real progress on restoring our community's park in South Dallas.

I am proud to have led the fight in the Texas House alongside State Senator @RoyceWestTX in the Senate to secure $3 million in state funding for this critical project. This investment will help @fairparkdallas turn their vision into reality for the families of House District 100.

For decades, our community watched as resources went elsewhere while our families waited for the park they were promised. But this community never gave up, and neither did we in the legislature.

The park will feature three children's playgrounds, interactive water features, a dog park, bike hub, great lawn, exercise equipment, and native landscaping. At 10 acres, it will be twice the size of Klyde Warren Park and will transform the current parking lot into vibrant green space for House District 100 families.

This park represents more than recreation—it's about justice and healing. In the 1960s, Black families' homes in this area were demolished to create State Fair parking lots. Now we're finally delivering on the promise to create something beautiful for our community in return.

We are not done yet, but we are finally moving from promises to action. Let's finish what we started together.
