Notes:
🔹In the image, Grey denotes player to bench and Green denotes player to start
🔹If you are a fan of rotating budget keepers, this is a good combination. The only caveat with rotating GKs is that GKs have higher upside in tougher games

Thread for Midfielders: Consider Differential Players to Start the Season ✅
🔵 Phil Foden - £7m
Recent updates indicate that Maresca views Foden as a key player for the upcoming season, and he will have a significant role under his management. An important factor to note is that Foden’s price is relatively affordable, making him an attractive option. 🔥

🔴⚪️ Kevin Schade - £6m
Kevin Schade is priced at £6 million and is considered a strong option to start the season. He has favorable fixtures ahead and has enjoyed a good rest without participating in the World Cup. With a high expected goals (xG) rate and a consistent ability to invest chances each game, he has the potential to achieve double-digit returns in any match.

I would rather go DCL as your 3rd forward than Ndiaye if he is your 5th mid ✅
1. The biggest factor is amount of forwards around the 6-8m price bracket you can easily switch to literally anyone with a 1-2 FTs
2. DCL is wasteful but his ceiling imo is higher
3. There is no red fixture "on paper" for Leeds in the first 5GWs
Many are touting Palmer at 9.5 as “undervalued.” I ran the two-season numbers. The truth is more interesting than the touts.
Palmer is not unlucky. He is exactly his numbers: 25 goal involvements on 26.3 xGI in 24/25. Then 12 on 13.0 last season. Nothing is “due.” There is no hidden regression gift coming.
What actually happened: his chance involvement fell ~19% (0.74 → 0.60 xGI/90). The fade was real, not variance. That’s why the ceiling vanished — 2 double-digit hauls in 26 appearances.
But split the season in half and the story changes. Under Maresca: 499 minutes, 0.51 xGI/90. After the sacking: 1,455 minutes, 0.63 and climbing. A chunk of the “fade” was a dying regime’s usage, not a dying player.
Now the 26/27 setup: left off the England squad, so he’s the freshest elite attacker in the league. No European midweeks. Full pre-season under Xabi Alonso — whose Leverkusen was built around exactly this role.
So 9.5 isn’t “undervalued.” It’s a recovery bet: you’re betting Alonso lifts his involvement back toward the 0.74 peak. That’s a real bet with real mechanisms behind it. It’s just not free money.
My line: no GW1 buy. If his xGI/90 through GW1-4 runs 0.70+ and he’s on pens, that’s the signal and I’m in.
