Publishing a new article soon: “The Fractured Reality Thesis”.
As AI models get more capable, and as people are exposed to very different versions of them, our shared sense of reality starts to break.
That’s why Roon can sound insane to some people and understated to others.
@BjarturTomas I think we can and will survive, just in a curtailed lightcone as enhanced pets to creatures of incomprehensible power if we let the technology evolve naturally
Maybe I'll come up with something! It's less about a .tsx file though and more about package/repo cleanliness really, gotta be careful with entrypoints and what they expose for example. Many OS packages aren't really optimized for that unfortunately, so it helps if you have the capacity to do it yourself
@lgrammel Honestly, most OS software does not make sense anymore. Why wait on a maintainer to merge a PR when you can fork their repo, improve it (e.g with effect), and build exactly for your case, even bringing in upstream changes is easy with enough tokens.
I think as an ecosystem TanStack is trying to do too much, at least for my personal taste. Not saying that's bad at all, quite the opposite for most actually, you people ship amazing software that we use selectively (query, table, etc)! But I like to get my hands dirty and build some critical things myself, like a chat agent. As for RR, its data fetching story feels simpler (not saying it's better) but RSC is kind of enough for an agent native world
@threepointone I think you'd need one standardized "knowledge storage" layer and then you can vibe any visualisation on top, but agents live and breath standardization
My best solution yet:
Silos usually revolve around a topic, e.g alignment, auth bugs in a repo
Silos can be arbitrarily sized (users, knowledge)
Silos are cheap to create
Silos can be arbitrarily gated (human verification, x users, passport, open to all)
Silos can be private or public
Cross references between public silos are possible
The purpose of a silo is to store collective knowledge work
It is a prerequisite for global scale coordination
