We often forget footballers are human beings - Seeing Virgil at Anfield today you can see he was fully exhausted and totally feels terrible about this season.

He’s faced endless blame, dealt with a campaign full of setbacks, and had to say goodbye to two of the people closest to him at the club all while leading from the front.

No player should have to shoulder that much alone. Really hope he’s doing alright , especially after losing Diogo last summer ❤️
