America hasn’t been perfect. It’s made grave mistakes. But there is no country that has ever done more for improving the world. It breaks my heart how unappreciative Americans across the ideological spectrum are of that. Much of the left rejects we’ve ever been good for the world, much of the right wants to stop being good for the world. Shame on all of them.
Hungarians have seen so many democratic foundations crack under Orban’s opression. But when people stand together they are stronger than hate. Happy Pride. @ATHigginsNYT

Today we remember seven humanitarian heroes…seven @WCKitchen colleagues who one year ago were killed in the selfless act of making sure hungry people could eat.
Saif, John, Jacob, Zomi, Jim, James, and Damian.
Today and every day I carry your memory and your spirit with me…with us. Every meal we serve, every smile on the face of a child, every community that we make sure is not forgotten in their darkest moment.
We will not stop pressing for justice. And we will not stop hoping.…hoping for a future where no innocent civilians and children are hurt. Where food is never used as a weapon of war, but instead to bring peace. For an end to the hostilities and the release of the hostages. And a future where no humanitarian….whether a local volunteer, international aid worker, healthcare provider, or journalist…faces violence while serving others. Where we build the same future for the children of our neighbors as for our own…
A reporter asked me about the inexcusable release of personal information in the JFK files. I am authorized to release this statement:
The Mary Ferrell Foundation, the largest online archive of JFK assassination documents, condemns the release of personal information in the latest JFK files. This unnecessary violation of the privacy of living persons is indefensible and reckless. Full JFK disclosure requires greater care on the part of the Trump administration and the National Archives.
In 25 years of covering national security, I’ve never seen a story like this: Senior Trump officials discussed planning for the U.S. attack on the Houthis in a Signal group--and inadvertently added the editor-in-chief of The Atlantic. https://t.co/IQfcvZHqmW
This BLOCKBUSTER @TheAtlantic story has echoes of Nat Sec Officials: They're Just Like Us! https://t.co/ZVDFmNurF3
As @tylerpager + @mviser know well, I'm always sending the wrong thing to the wrong Signal chain...tho normally—thankfully—it's just effusive food commentary.
The must-read of the week (recognizing it's only Monday): What happens when the president's national security team accidentally includes a journalist on a theoretically highly secret group chat about an upcoming military operation. @JeffreyGoldberg https://t.co/xM2bmIVOpS
I’m so proud of the @WCKitchen mobile bakery in Gaza…operating 24/7 and producing more than 50,000 loaves of pita every day. Thanks to the brave amazing teams working day and night to distribute meals to shelters, camps, medical facilities…and thanks to my friend @KingAbdullahII for the support to bring this idea to life. More mobile bakeries on the way! #ChefsForGaza

In northern Gaza, some businesses have been able to reopen. We're partnering with restaurants to immediately begin serving warm meals to families around hard-hit Gaza City. Cooks at these restaurants are preparing hundreds of meals daily and quickly scaling up. The food is distributed via local NGO partners to families, with a special focus on people receiving medical attention. #ChefsForGaza
