@Megzilla87 Hey! I finally got into Critical Role myself.
As Dimention20 fan, having Brennan narrate was the push I needed, hahaha.
Going on to ep 14 now. =]
I WANT to like blender.
I really do.
But every time I open it I have to spend 10 minutes figuring things that are pretty stablished standards on any other software.
It's like they have a mandate where "you can always do the same actions, but never in the same way"
@BellTreeNursing has a SHOP? How did i not know this? My wallet will be sad, but my printer will be happy!
I better start slow........
Maybe just the mechanical models to start?

@PenguinPickUp Where do the deliveries already locked for 2 months for now go after this? Who knows.
But I sure as hell know it will be out of my pocked to pay for the re-delivery.
And that's for a years-long PAYING customer.
Can only imagine the free service
What is the point of being a @PenguinPickUp paying customer at this point?
this is the 2nd shop they are closing.
First one just north of me.
Switched to a farther south.
Now that one too!
And with only weeks of notice! Lots of deliveries already scheduled months in advance!
Big companies continue to try to destroy the last remnants of the best parts of the internet in pursuit of a few extra bucks. Save the @internetarchive

@Barry_biffle says people are shopliftes when earning over 8 million a year in compensation.
Instead of adding fees for carry-ons, targeting the customers with the least money, how about @FrontierCare lower c suit compensation? Saves them millions and only bother rich people. W/W
@NorthernPixels_ @CerberusXt Mark Kern is so weird.
It's so odd to me to see a dev reveling in (to his eye) "failure" of another developer.
100k people enjoying a game. Sounds like 100k happy people.
(Also as if Em-8er had ever gone anywhere and being a huge success since... 2016 is that correct?)
The dichotomy. Bellow the article 2 comments both from drivers. One lives in Toronto & drives this route and the other doesn't.
It's funny how the person that actually experiences the city is in favour of the bike lanes.
Driving culture is so ingrained
Facts be damned.
Rather than once again meddling in municipality’s decisions, Doug Ford should focus on the many provincial priorities he’s neglected including health care and housing. He’s not the mayor of Toronto, he’s the premier and he should remember that. https://t.co/7LoMzyOI0N
(Part 3 of 2 ??)
AI and ML algos are not the issue in an on itself. The tech in isolation is amazing.
But the reality is there's no way in hell this won't be used for rich capitalist to amass even more money and push the social divide further apart
They WANT us weak and desperate
A couple if interesting things.
1) Even on their own example the resulting mesh are NOT a representation of the original object at all other than very broad shapes.
2) You have NO control over the results. You put an input and HOPES it looks like your design.
(part 1/2)
Nvidia presents EdgeRunner. The method can generate high-quality 3D meshes with up to 4,000 faces at a spatial resolution of 512 from images and point-clouds.
But the main one
This is tech that was and still is created from utilizing data scrapped from sources they had no license to use. Data created by the same people the peddlers of this tech cannot wait to substitute with an arguably cheaper, worse and way more pollutant option (p2)
@themetalsco "Mining the sea floor is great for the environment!"
Researcher: "that doesn't sound right"
TMC: "Lemme fund you to prove it!"
S: "Ok. Turns out it's potentially terrible for the environment!"

A friend said it best:
"Bad business decisions only really ever affect the lives of people who had no input or involvement in those decisions to have their live upheavaled
The person who made those decisions is never going to think of those people again"
