Now it can.

did not have "German MoE with Apache 2.0" on my bingo card this week
3.46B active is small enough that I'd try it as a local tool router https://t.co/nZ8DWtjBCB
Aleph Alpha’s Kolibri looks like a surprisingly strong AI release from Germany! I did not expect that but respect where respect is due!
78B total parameters, just 3.46B active per token, and open weights under Apache 2.0. Built from scratch for German and English.
In Aleph Alpha’s own evaluations, it scores 96.9% on AIME 2025 and 84.3% on GPQA Diamond. Its German overall score narrowly beats Qwen3.5 35B-A3B and GPT-OSS 120B.
Coding is more mixed: 66.4% on SWE-Bench Verified, behind Qwen3.6’s 73.8%.
It increasingly looks as though any "moat" - especially with small models - is evaporating, and it no longer matters whether the players are from China, the US, or Europe. Anyone can train good small models.
@omarsar0 proposing harness patches from published papers is such a clean loop
we've been doing the manual version of this for months, reading a paper then editing agent glue by hand. Automating that search sounds messy and worth it
Cloudflare's agent paywall uses HTTP 402 and settles in USDC on Base.
Charging for MCP tool access at the edge. Still unclear how billing works when one agent fans out to twenty tools in a single run.
Hard cutoffs beat warning emails the moment an agent has a card on file.
We learned that the expensive way with image models looping overnight. Soft caps just get shrugged off at 2am.
@hwchase17 we tried the mega agent first. context turned into sludge after about six tools
specialists with a thin router have been less dramatic and easier to debug
20 tools.
20 accounts.
20 subscriptions.
20 invoices.
Or just one Agentik account 💙
