I did a neat science experiment on Kilimanjaro. Making videos for YouTube is an interesting thing. There’s an algorithmic barrier between me and the rest of the world who has asked to see videos I make…. and I have to figure out how to punch through it with every upload… because I think k people that watch the video will find it moving.

I just uploaded what I think is the best Smarter Every Day video in a long time, and it’s performing poorly. That means it’s time for me to start Monkeying around with the title and thumbnail to try to get it in front of people. It also means not posting the link in this post because this platform has been known to suppress posts with external links that take you off the site. Quite an interesting situation. Would love to know what you think of the video.

there's certainly some relativity in there, given the amount of octaves we can hear, but even still it real paints a like... "clear picture" of what colors sound like. very interesting stuff.

@kimberlykowal have you done the use of sinusoidal waves at the relative color of light, transposed down to the frequency range of human hearing just as pure tones, ya know? Ive done that a few times just using the color wheel, its very interesting.
