One Piece is literally about a pirate crew that goes around restoring monarchies, nationalism, and sovereignty to every kingdom and nation they visit.
One Piece is right-wing, not some communist manifesto.
Since Lindsay Clancy:
82 mothers have killed 123 of their own children.
37 MORE mothers tried.
52 children survived.
These are just the ones that made the local news.
Every time, the same excuse: Postpartum. Hormones. Psychosis.
NO.
Hormones are not a defense and the mothers are not the victims.
The children are.
The moment we call the killer a victim, the children never get justice.
Someone has to speak for them.
So I will.
America, we have a problem.
University debate: "The most vegan meal on earth is a grass-fed steak."
Vegan: "I'm sorry, I've read the motion three times. Is it a misprint?"
Anthropologist: "No."
Vegan: "You're going to stand in front of four hundred people and tell them a steak is vegan."
Anthropologist: "The most vegan. I'd like credit for the full claim."
Vegan: "It's a dead cow."
Anthropologist: "One. What did you have for lunch?"
Vegan: "A lentil and rice bowl. Nothing died for it."
Anthropologist: "It came off a ploughed field. Mice, voles, ground nests, every insect in it, cleared out several times a year by a machine the width of this stage. One bullock feeds a person for twelve months. I'm on one death. You lost count at the starter."
Vegan: "Those are accidents."
Anthropologist: "I'll let the voles know it wasn't personal."
Vegan: "Fine. The planet. Cattle take up enormous amounts of land."
Anthropologist: "Hill, rain and grass. Land no plough can touch. He eats what grew there by itself and nobody has to clear a thing. Your lentils needed the field emptied first."
Vegan: "We could rewild it."
Anthropologist: "With what?"
Vegan: "...Grazing animals."
Anthropologist: "I've brought some."
Vegan: "This is absurd. Humans can get everything they need from plants."
Anthropologist: "There's a lawn outside. Help yourself."
Vegan: "We can't digest grass."
Anthropologist: "He can. Four stomachs and a vat of bacteria. He's the only system on earth that gets everything out of a plant, and he hands it over as protein, iron and the B12 you're taking as a tablet."
Vegan: "So your argument is that the cow is vegan."
Anthropologist: "Strictly. Never touched meat in his life. I'm simply eating a plant-based diet that's been finished properly."
Vegan: "You cannot call that vegan."
Anthropologist: "Fewest deaths, no plough, no supplements. If you've a better word for what you were after, I'll use it."
Moderator: "Time."
Vegan: "I'd like the motion read out again."
Moderator: "It's still not a misprint."
Women are killing their children purely because they're baby boys
But yes, please continue to lecture us on how the radicalization of young men is the real problem in society
When someone says "I don't want politics in my anime", everyone knows what they mean.
They know that a fictional world can have a government or political structure. They know the author's world view can be reflected in the show. That's not what they mean and everyone knows it.
They're talking about modern propaganda shoehorned into escapism. We already see modern political propaganda shoved into everything from late night "comedy" shows to sports to taxes, schools, political ads, its fucking everywhere.
And again, everyone knows it. Everybody knows the topic at hand isn't some broad, all encompassing definition of "politics" that could mean anything.
The type of person replies "dOn'T yOu KnOw AlL aNiMe iS PoLiTiCaL" is being dishonest. They're pretending to not understand.
The reason they argue in such bad faith is because they want THEIR politics shoved down everyone's throat in all aspects of life. They want to bully people for taking a break once in a while. They do not want any medium, even foreign cartoons unmolested by their personal political agenda.
They're nothing more than dishonest trash.
Everyone claims to want people fed, housed, educated, and treated with dignity. That's the easiest moral position imaginable, requiring neither thought nor effort.
The sincerity of that commitment is revealed by whether you're willing to examine what actually achieves those outcomes, what undermines them, and at whose expense.
By the socialist standard, even forced labor can be justified in pursuit of these goals, and even policies producing the opposite results can be defended as virtuous.
Virtue signaling earns applause for good intentions. Genuine concern demands understanding, evidence, and results. Far too many seem content with the applause.
Emmanuel Macron says American free speech is "the opposite of free speech." In his view, freedom only exists inside a "common framework" set by the state.
He compared posting an insult online to hitting someone in the street. Those are different things, because one is speech and the other is violence.
He wants people punished for posting "nonsense," with state-backed fact-checkers deciding what qualifies. He wants a verified identity behind every social media account. He has written to Ursula von der Leyen demanding the DSA be enforced "much faster, much more forcefully."
