We were a little busy through the weekend but huge shout to @precision_turf for their great work in helping us turn Kyle Field into a baseball field for the @TheSavBananas!
For those wondering, the official dimensions of this field are 185 ft in left field, 261 ft in dead center, 375 ft in right field and a deepest point of 429 ft.
This is per a Savannah Bananas spokesperson.
A full week of prep with @NettingPros and Kyle Field is set and ready for Banana Ball tonight! Shout out to the @aggiefieldstaff for all their hard work putting a baseball diamond on the field! #FacOps
@nhampshire@tengland_150 You are correct Nick. The only reason the tarp was on the field was to preserve the infield surface for the game. As soon as we knew the game wasnโt happening there was no reason to leave the tarp on especially after being on for 24 hours straight since Saturday night.
@nicolegriff_@Travis_L_Brown I get more than enough underserved attention and camera time! Thought it would be a good experience for one of my students and he did great!
Extremely proud of this group and all the time, hard work and effort they put into making sure ALL of our playing surfaces are some of the best in the nation!
@Travis_L_Brown Either way, you got the point of the conversation, which was that thing was HEAVY! Which is why we got stuck with it. Huge shout out to @AggieBaseball players, managers & staff that came rushing to our aid and helped us finally get the tarp completely on! #savedbytheteam
@Travis_L_Brown In recalculating, my math was probably off just a bit. I was operating on the assumption of between a 1/4-1/2โ evenly across the entire tarp which would put it somewhere between 5,000-10,000 lbs. Youโll have to forgive my miscalculation as I was just a little tired! ๐
