Cody calling out LSU is a choice.
However, a home-home series between Tech and LSU would certainly get my eyeballs.
Attendance by the National Guard would be highly recommended.
If they’d have come up with this bill 2 years ago, maybe there’d be more time/ability to compromise.
They’re coming in at the 11th hour and doing what they always do in Congress: “we have to do something so just support this even though there are parts of it that won’t work.”
Don’t expect these conferences to just cave after they’ve spent decades positioning themselves to have options in various scenarios.
I have never been in favor of the super league for CFB, but it’s probably the only way you could get the pool of athletes small enough to make collective bargaining possible.
And I know some will say you don’t need CB to make a Super League work, but the reality is that you probably will need it in the future.
The ironic part in all this is that if this is the tipping point and the SEC/B1G go Super League, Texas Tech will be responsible for burning its only chance at relevance.
@CFBXpress@NCAA_PR They can appeal and it won’t matter because the appeal won’t be heard for 9 months to a year.
Just like Indiana using an ineligible player last year. Once the games have been played, who cares.
@JoshPateCFB Then they don’t give a shit about the rules either. So they need to sit down and stfu instead of grandstanding before Congress, the press, or anybody else.
Again, the @CFBPlayoff could stop all this by simply backing the NCAA and stating players ruled ineligible by the NCAA are not allowed to participate in games considered by the committee. So if teams use players the NCAA has ruled ineligible, they will be excluded from consideration.
@MarchMadnessMBB could do the same.
