“Last year, we recorded about 37,000 new HIV infections. This means that as a country, we continue to spend significant resources each year managing new cases. If we are able to reduce these infections, we will save more money in the long run, funds that can then be invested in other critical areas that drive development.
I therefore urge stronger collaboration and coordination in all HIV financing discussions. We have many platforms and forums focused on financing, but our impact will be greater if we speak with one unified voice. Let us align our efforts, pool our resources, and ensure that our ideas are translated into real actions and results that move us closer to ending HIV”
Mr. Charles Otai ~ @aidscommission presents on strategies for increased Domestic Funding and Efficiency, Sustainability Considerations.

Investing in community led health financing is essential for sustaining long-term HIV prevention &care.
Empowering communities to mobilize resources for their own health needs strengthens resilience & creates a sustainable, locally driven foundation for improved health outcomes.
Today's discussions on Uganda's health financing landscape highlighted the need for innovative solutions, efficient resource allocation & private sector partnerships. Let's prioritize sustainable financing mechanisms & accountability to achieve universal health coverage.
The theme for this health financing conference is: "More Money for Health:Achieving Equity & Financial Protection"
Let's work together to ensure everyone has access to quality healthcare, regardless of their income & make healthcare a right not a privilege.
