Jannah is a place where no one carries the pain of what they missed in this world. It is a place designed for total satisfaction. Regarding whether everyone will have a spouse, the Prophet (peace be upon him) said:

ما في الجنة أعزب
This means there is no single person in Paradise. This rule is for both men and women.

Whether someone never married here or their partner did not make it, Allah will provide a spouse. Nobody stays lonely in that kingdom.

For the children who pass away young, the beauty is that everyone in Jannah will be the same age. Scholars often mention thirty-three because it is the peak of strength and beauty.

But the Quran also says:

وَيَطُوفُ عَلَيْهِمْ وِلْدَانٌ مُّخَلَّدُونَ
These are young boys made eternal who will serve the people of Jannah.

Many scholars say this is a special mercy for parents who lost their little ones. They get to see them and be delighted by them in that youthful state. Whether they grow up or stay as a delight, the parent will be perfectly happy with whatever Allah chooses.

For the men and women who were not married in this world, the promise of Allah is wide. Allah says:

وَفِيهَا مَا تَشْتَهِيهِ الْأَنفُسُ وَتَلَذُّ الْأَعْيُنُ
In it is whatever the souls desire and the eyes find delicious.

If a person was patient while being single in this life, Allah will marry them to a spouse they will be totally pleased with. They will not be an afterthought. They will have a partner that fits their heart perfectly.

Another verse says:
لَهُم مَّا يَشَاءُونَ فِيهَا وَلَدَيْنَا مَزِيدٌ
They will have whatever they wish and with Us is more.

The logic of Jannah is different from the logic of earth. Here, we worry about being left behind, but there, Allah removes even the feeling of lack. Everyone will have their heart's desire in a way we cannot imagine now. I hope this helps you see that no patience in this life goes unnoticed.

I attended the 2026 Paris International Agricultural Show (PIAS) as part of a high-level Kano State Government delegation where we presented our Sustainable Agricultural Intensification Model for Kano State, delivered by Mubarak Mahmud, in line with His Excellency Gov. Abba Kabir Yusuf’s administration’s commitment to advancing sustainable agriculture and improving productivity without expanding farmland through a scalable 1,000-hectare pilot programme.

Beyond the exhibition, I was particularly impressed by how the ancient city of Paris has preserved its green areas despite centuries of urban growth. It reflects our own ongoing efforts in Kano State to restore degraded landscapes and expand urban greenery in order to create oxygen banks and carbon sinks that support community health and climate resilience.

On the sidelines of the event, I also had the privilege of meeting a 2007 Nobel Peace Prize Laureate on behalf of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) where we discussed global climate financing and the importance of strengthening access for subnational governments to support climate-resilient agricultural systems.

In continuation of the Urban Renewal Project to redevelop and beautify Kano metropolis led by His Excellency, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, I paid a working visit today to the ongoing beautification project at Zaria Road Bridge, Naibawa.

This location is one of the major gateways into Kano city, and beautifying it will ensure that everyone entering or leaving the city meets us in an environment that is clean and welcoming. This project we have started will not stop here, as our goal is to extend the beautification effort to all major roads and intersections across the entire Kano metropolis.

I wish to remind the public that tree and flower planting does not have to wait for the rainy season. With dedication and proper care, trees can be planted, and the environment can be beautified at any time and in any area.

May Allah bless Kano State.
