@sacjai This is a failure of policy. Must standardize EHR technology. Fax machines are like the "compromise cars" of the 1870s railway systems that had tracks of varying gauges. Regular cars could not travel between rail systems. Compromise cars failed. Standardization was the answer.

To move innovation to operations you need standards, markets, and incentives. That is what is missing. Lack of sufficient incentives for transition will risk popping the bubble.
