Cam Schlittler lives on an island. The only question is whether he can sustain his one-of-a-kind success down the stretch and in the playoffs.
In eight innings against the #Angels last night, Schlittler allowed one run on two hits, zero walks, and nine strikeouts for the #Yankees.

Yesterday's #Yankees game started, ended, and revolved around Spencer Jones.
From his first-inning two-run home run to his ninth-inning RBI single and everything in between, he shined bright against the #Angels in his home state of California.
The young outfielder continues to make a case for the starting center field role once Aaron Judge (hopefully) returns.

From a 16-1 win to a 10-1 loss, these #Yankees are as confusing and frustrating as any club in baseball.
It’s easy to reduce last night’s loss to a mere letdown, traveling to the West Coast to play the worst team in the American League after battling toe-to-toe with a competitive division rival.
But that is no excuse for falling completely flat on all three sides of the baseball: hitting, pitching, and defense.

@SharpStats17 I never expected Grish to repeat last season, but this dropoff is dramatic. We're lucky we have a backup option in Jones.
If Boone chooses him...

Yesterday against the #RedSox, before Will Warren pitched into the eighth inning for the first time this season, and the offense crafted a nine-run frame, Heliot Ramos had his first big #Yankees moment.
In the fifth inning, with #RepBX up 2-0 over #DirtyWater on a two-run single that Goldschmidt squeezed up the middle, Ramos drilled a 416-foot, three-run home run to left field.
The blast was Ramos’s first as a Yankee, and it could not have come at a better time.

Revenge is a dish best served cold, and in the second game of yesterday's doubleheader against the #RedSox, the #Yankees finally poured it on at the plate.
But the offense arrived in an unusual form for the Bronx Bombers, who are used to extra-base hits, especially dingers.

The #Yankees have scored one run or fewer in each of their last three games. In that span, they are 1-for-18 with runners in scoring position.
After a 6-0 shutout loss in the first game of today's doubleheader, the four-game series against the #RedSox is tied 1-1.
Tonight, #RepBX must bounce back and guarantee a series split against #DirtyWater. They're already halfway there.

George Lombard Jr.'s defensive fall from grace is impossible to explain, and no team capitalizes more on #Yankees errors than the #RedSox, who will, guaranteed, play playoff-caliber baseball in the Bronx this weekend.
The Yankees, still scraping for runs while trying to reassemble their bullpen, don’t seem ready for that challenge.
But excuses will be impermissible this weekend. #RepBX must rise to the occasion against #DirtyWater.
At a bare minimum, their entire season depends on splitting this series.

A new lion has entered the concrete jungle for the #Yankees, and his name is Luis García Jr.
Michael Kay’s signature home run call, “See Ya,” is part of García’s name, so his ability to hit bombs is not a coincidence.

For nearly two months, while the #Yankees' offense struggled, the rotation and bullpen didn’t just keep the team afloat but kept it competitive.
Now, the offense is thriving, but the bullpen might be taking a mental break.

The youth movement that has powered the Yankees’ offense’s revival is starting to reverberate throughout the rest of the lineup.
Yesterday was one of those Bronx afternoons fans have been craving for weeks. Finally, the offense caught up with the pitching, helping the #Yankees take two of three games from the #BlueJays and, with an 8-3 win, reach a season-high-tying 18 games over .500.

It looked like it left the ballpark. The video review clearly showed the baseball crossed the fair side of the yellow pole.
Yet, by some #Yankees miracle, Pete Alonso didn't homer after all.
