@HelenORahilly Thank you, Helen for being so kind to these three men. Sadly, if they were not EU citizens, but “asylum seekers” (quotation marks intended), they would already have free accommodation, free meals and free everything else. Being entitled to be here means no freebies for them.

Nobody offered me anything for free, I was not on welfare payments for years unlike my Irish neighbours. The state never paid a cent towards my food, accommodation etc.

@daffodildayz I was saying just the thing when they started coming here, that Facebook is full of advice and calculations of the benefits they can get. Other EU countries cut down the payments and put a time limit on them. But not here. El Dorado!
