The diversity you unintentionally referenced is the true diversity of an Army based on merit, skill, cohesion, esprit de corps and the practice of seeing only one color: GREEN.

Actual diversity means that superficial characteristics like skin color are meaningless.

OTOH, the so-called "diversity" you are fighting for is a form of racism and sexism where skin color and genitalia are the most important considerations in building a sub-standard fighting force, and a monolithic UN-DIVERSE acceptance of such purely political, neo-Marxist doctrines are THE prerequisite to advancement.

If DeSantis is “leaving without many friends” after he’s been the greatest Republican governor in the country for 8 years, one has to ask the question: why would he want those “friends”? The GOP doesn’t represent conservatives anymore. It represents its own interests.

The answer of course is one of power. DeSantis cannot advance in the GOP without certain concessions, and it appears conceding his values to Trump and Susie’s vision for Florida is a large part of the price tag.

The question we need to be URGENTLY litigating right now is whether the oath of office is a binding legal qualification or just a boilerplate formality.

That’s really the key at this point, and we deserve answers, because an entire political faction is unambiguously committed to dissolving the nation as it exists under our constitution.

The communist question for political office is brutally simple:

How can someone swear to support and defend the Constitution while openly seeking to destroy the constitutional order it created?

Believing vile things is protected. Advocating lawful constitutional change is protected too. But an oath taken “without mental reservation or purpose of evasion” cannot mean promising fidelity with one hand while reaching for the knife with the other.

Here is the trap: Once such a person is elected and seated, removal usually requires the very political class they joined to summon a two thirds vote. If enough fellow travelers enter with them, the lock is picked from inside the house.

So what is the oath? A binding condition of public trust? Or a ceremonial lie recited by people who intend to use the Constitution as scaffolding for its own demolition?

A republic that refuses to answer that question may discover the answer only after its enemies have sworn themselves through the front door.
