This is ridiculously disappointing from Sinn Féin. An amendment that would force women to continue to rely on England isn’t really what they’re about us it?! This is what a claw back of women’s rights looks like, dressed in this exact language.
Basically what I'm trying to say is, Ireland should do everything it can to support oppressed groups abroad and at home, something we aren't doing as well as we'd like to think.
Forget trying to appeal to the Colonial nations, stand with those who are suffering. (3/3)
It makes much more sense to look at our shared experiences and, while acknowledging they aren't the exact same, use them to build solidarity and support those who are suffering.

I've never understood how people can wholeheartedly look at Irish history and suffering and somehow try and turn it around as "black people shouldn't complain about slavery/racism because we faced XYZ".(1/3)
