WOW. @DjokerNole has just beaten Zverev in a thriller in Beijing. This was one of the highest quality matches of the year, Djokovic was sublime his depth of shot, his serving and his movement was exceptional. He's into the @ChinaOpen semis.
Idemooooo! 💪
Ben Shelton after losing to Zverev in the U.S. Open final
“First and most importantly I wanna thank God. My successes are a gift. The failures are a gift. Being here playing in front of you guys is a gift.
Sascha, congrats on these two weeks man. Your 2nd Grand Slam title. Two in one year.
You’re one of the very best players in the world. Maybe the best player in the world this year. What you’re doing is incredible.
The way you’re serving, moving, and playing. You work harder than anyone I know. You put more hours on the court than anyone I know. You and your team do things the right way. Sincerely happy for you guys to hold this title. It’s been a long time coming here.”
Huge congrats to @AlexZverev he wins his first ever @usopen as he beats Ben Shelton in 4 sets. Zverev just played solid and smart Tennis throughout and he deserved the win.
Zverev was that focused he didn't even realise he had won the match! 😂

Call me crazy but I think Novak Djokovic would really benefit from having a lower ranking.
At present, he can't meet Sinner and/or Alcaraz prior to the late stages of tournaments. And by then, he isn't physically fresh.
His best chance to beat them and win a major is by meeting them as early as possible when he can perform at his very best.
He has also proven he can beat everyone else regardless of freshness. It's just hard to beat these two when not at his best physically.
Thoughts?
Less than 2 months ago Djokovic beat Sinner in the semis of the @AustralianOpen despite Sinner hitting a record amount of Aces (26) and Winners (69). Sinner himself said he played well but Djokovic was just too good for him.
Excited when Djokovic returns!
Djokovic says he has no immediate plans to retire says he is still the world No 4 and is competing at highest level. He says when he's ready to retire he will tell them to get ready for his farewell tour but for now he still loves adrenaline of competing
