Cricket's unique front legs, affected by a condition called carpal laxity, don't keep him from running, jumping on every surface (including our team members' backs), and playing tirelessly. His battery never seems to run out and, thanks to your support, he can live his best and healthiest life.

This gorgeous girl is Poppy, an 8-year-old Crossbreed who is searching for a loving new family to spend her golden years with.

Making the decision to rehome Poppy has not been easy. She is very much loved, but due to changes in her owners’ circumstances, they can no longer give her the exercise she needs. Poppy is a strong dog on the lead, and while her owner has always walked her, he is now unable to do so because he is not strong enough. They want to do what is best for Poppy and find her a home where she can continue to thrive.

Poppy is a wonderfully affectionate girl who absolutely loves fuss, cuddles, and being close to her people. In fact, she’s happiest curled up on her owners’ bed at night! She’s friendly, enjoys the company of children, and loves meeting other dogs. She can be quite boisterous when she plays, so she’d be happiest as the only dog in the home where she can have all the attention to herself.

She has a healthy appetite and isn’t fussy with food, happily eating both wet and dry food, with chicken being one of her favourite treats. Poppy is microchipped, spayed, registered with the vets, and has no known medical issues.

Although she hasn’t travelled in the car very often, she has happily been on a bus, showing she’s adaptable with a little reassurance.

Poppy would suit an individual or couple, or a family with older children, who can confidently handle a stronger dog and offer her the love, attention, and exercise she deserves. In return, you’ll gain a loyal, affectionate companion who will happily snuggle up beside you at the end of the day.

🏡A Very Special Foster Home Needed In #Pembrokeshire - Please Read The Post Carefully🏡

Meet Dewi, please take a few moments to read his story

When Dewi, a beautiful young Lurcher (under 1 years old), arrived as a stray, he was desperately underweight. Sadly, while this isn’t unusual, what followed wasn’t what we expected

Despite a carefully managed feeding programme & close monitoring, Dewi simply wasn’t improving. As we got to know this sweet young lad, it became clear that something much more serious was going on

After several Veterinary visits, including one day when he became particularly unwell, Dewi was diagnosed with a serious meningitis-type infection

Our Vets gave us two options: let him go peacefully or commit to a long, intensive treatment programme with a guarded prognosis

When Dewi feels well, he is exactly what a young Lurcher should be —cheeky, affectionate, mischievous & full of life. We simply couldn’t give up on him without giving him every chance

Alongside this, Dewi is also battling digestive problems which require ongoing dietary & medical management. Poor lad really does deserve a break

We are currently managing his care in kennels but the reality is that his treatment will last at least nine months & quite possibly over a year. Even then, his future cannot be guaranteed. We hope with everything we have that he’ll make a slow but full recovery. We have to be honest that there are no promises

🏡That is why we are searching for an exceptional foster home🏡

🏡We need someone who is patient, compassionate & understands that this will be a challenging journey. There will be ups & downs but there is also the opportunity to completely change the life of a young dog who deserves every chance

🐶Dewi absolutely loves other dogs & would thrive with canine companionship

🐶He is kind, gentle, playful & has so much love to give

🏥Greenacres Rescue will remain fully responsible for all of Dewi’s Veterinary treatment & medical costs throughout his foster placement

What we need is:

🏡A foster home within Pembrokeshire

🏡A patient, committed person or family who understands this is a longterm foster with an uncertain outcome

🏡Someone willing to give Dewi the love, comfort & stability that simply can’t be replicated in kennels

🏡Someone able to transport Dewi to appointments at @FentonVets Haverfordwest

We completely understand that this won’t be the right placement for most people & that’s okay. It is a massive commitment & we appreciate how much we’re asking

But if we don’t ask, we’ll never know if Dewi’s perfect person is out there

🚨 Last call for Mosaic, now under kill command. Arrived a scared, tail-tucked stray early July & is still nervous/ looks for exits out of scary shelter, flees room when hears dogs barking. Very timid, gentle & cooperative. Has been on walks & is neutral passing strangers & dogs.
