@basit_designs Sadly the same happened for me... Let's hope Framer will factor in old templates that proved their value over time into their algo.
Beautiful template btw! Quick question though, why is the name on the navbar different from the name of the template?
I started Framer in 2023. My first templates were trash, rejected multiple times (and for a good reason) by @jurrehoutkamp.
I kept going. Iterating time after time. I never stopped.
I saw all the marketplace cycles. And the previous one wasn't so bright at the beginning either, but I kept going. I even rebranded more times than I'd like to admit.
After a couple of months, I took advantage of the new cycle and reached $3k/month with just 3 templates on the marketplace.
I've been here since almost the beginning and survived every marketplace update. But this one felt scary at first.
I always dodged the whole "build an audience" thing. Not because I didn't want to, but because I didn't succeed. I never managed to understand how to get leads outside the Framer marketplace. Even when @hxmzaehsan and @ramishdotdesign kept preaching it: build an audience, don't rely only on the marketplace.
Honestly? This time I even thought about quitting. Vence, my most popular template, the one that brought me 75% of my revenue and was always at the top of the rankings, is now buried.
So I took it as an opportunity. I refreshed it with my new quality standards. The update pushed me to do it. And it's pushing me to turn this into a real business, not a side hustle anymore.
I'm going to build my own store and make it a template. And slowly but surely, I'll be free. Framer becomes the tool I use to create amazing things, and no longer the platform that "owns" my business.
This update opened my eyes. It'll teach me new, more business-oriented things, stuff I sort of "delegated" to Framer before, since it handled all the marketing for me.
In the end, I will succeed or I will learn.
Took the opportunity to completely rework Vence, my most popular @framer template, using the latest Framer update.
Always risky to touch the template that used to bring in most of my revenue, but since the new marketplace update completely changed how everything works, it felt like the right moment π
Iβm applying for Season 2 of the @framer challenge with a goal of $15,000 in revenue. Building in public over the next few weeks. https://t.co/a33bYdDh8D #FramerChallenge.
Itβs been 2 weeks without a single sale on @polar_sh for my only paid template π
I was really wondering what was wrong, but I finally made a sale today!
Guess the move is just to keep working and not stress too much about sales being consistent πͺ
