"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquillity of servitude, than the animating contest of freedom—go from us in peace. ...down & lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, & may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen."
~Samuel Adams
"The world is being ravaged by a handful of tyrants," Pope Leo XIV said during remarks at a cathedral in the Cameroon city of Bamenda, the AP reported.
July 6, 2025, Bamenda Mezam State Northern Ambazonia: The city was struck by a series of violent incidents that left 8 innocent and unarmed civilians dead and many bikes burned by the Cameroon Occupation Forces #WAR CRIME @IHL
Standing in full solidarity with the Ambazonian families in Sandpit, Buea whose loved ones were violently dragged from their homes without reason. Cameroun occupation forces should end the mistreatment of innocent civilians. Release them now. #JusticeForSandpit
@NaomiLitvin@ChoAyaba Well said. Ambazonians are peaceful people demanding safety and dignity. #FreeChoAyaba, Norway must step aside. Enough is enough.
Anglophone Ambazonians are the civilized ones in this conflict. I wouldn't call them separtists. They want the freedom to live in peace, to B safe, from French Cameroun savage barbarians. Freeing President @ChoAyaba from Biya's proxy-Norway must be immediate in any negotiation.
@amba_newsline@Pontifex Colonization, whether historical British administration or its continuation through Camerounian annexation, has inflicted enduring suffering on the Ambazonian people. We urge His Holiness to call for unconditional negotiations between the legitimate representatives.
Delighted that Pope Leo is visiting Bamenda, in Cameroon's Anglophone region (Ambazonia). And also wise of separatists to pause their fighting. Seems the Pope has a better understanding of Ambazonians' struggle for justice than US Govt. Needs attention.

Ambazonia #Cameroun: Following the visit of Pope Francis @Pontifex to Cameroun, including his historic transit into Ambazonia to meet with Christians, it is important that the Holy Father recognizes that colonization constitutes a crime against humanity. The legacy of British colonization in Ambazonia carried out through Cameroun as a proxy must not be overlooked. As a global advocate for peace, the Pope is called upon to address the colonial policies of the Biya-led regime in Cameroun and to urge an immediate end to the annexation of Ambazonia, advocating instead for constructive negotiations between both parties.
@adf_radio Thank you, @ACNTV2, for providing a platform to discuss the Pope’s historic visit and the urgent need for international action. As the world watches, we reiterate: Ambazonia’s struggle is for survival. We call His Holiness to use his moral authority to call parties to the table.
@amba_newsline@Pontifex Pope Francis, Cardinal Tumi was right: independence is the only path to justice in Ambazonia. The Pope has moral authority. Request both parties to the negotiating table. Nine years of war is enough. Our people have always promoted dialogue. #PopeInCameroon
Breaking News:
The Pope’s (@Pontifex) ongoing visit to Cameroon and his historic stop in war-torn Ambazonia have thrust the decades-long conflict back into the spotlight.A 2021 interview with the late Cardinal Christian Tumi has gone viral on social media. In it, the respected Cameroonian church leader stated unequivocally that only the separation of Ambazonia from Cameroon can bring a lasting end to the war.Political analysts following the crisis argue that if the Pope is genuinely a man of peace, he has the moral authority to summon both the Cameroonian government and Ambazonian representatives to the negotiation table just as he has called for ceasefires in Lebanon and Iran amid the Israel-America conflict. Many Christians in Ambazonia are now praying that the Pontiff will show the courage to demand an end to the bloody nine-year conflict that has claimed thousands of lives and displaced hundreds of thousands.
Ambazonia declare 3 day ceasefire for Pope's visit.
"This decision reflects a deliberate commitment to responsibility, restraint, and respect for human dignity, even in the context of ongoing conflict," said @Lucasasu Asu, spokesperson of @TheAGovC

Breaking:
The conflict between Cameroon and Ambazonia has intensified in Nkambe, a region in Ambazonia near Douala in Cameroon. This escalation comes as Pope @Pontifex is expected to visit Cameroon, with a planned stop in Bamenda, Northern Ambazonia, where he will hold a historic meeting with Christians in the region.
It is worth noting that Cardinal Christian Tumi, who passed away several years ago, had openly accused Cameroonian forces under Paul Biya’s command of carrying out indiscriminate killings in Ambazonia, including wiping out entire families acts he described as genocide.
Nkambe is also the site of the Ngarbuh massacre, where Cameroonian forces killed 32 people, including children.

April 7th, a day I hate to wake up to but do to give testimony as to how cruel the Cameroon gov’t is. We lament the cruelty and terror inflicted, your assassination and our loss but remember you with Love and Appreciation. #RIP
