Wheat drilling kicked off Friday afternoon, rightly or wrongly we’ll see how the weather pans out. Into the SFI spring sown covers this morning

[Ben Neave @agri_ben]

Cover crops going into perfect conditions after 6mm yesterday. Shouldn’t be long before they’re up and away, wheat harvest continues.

Wheat harvest 25 under way in north lincs. Drought showing its effects. Yeilds 👎

😡 How do people think this is acceptable, Scumbags ! As if this year isn’t challenging enough without having to clear other people sh*t up !

Cracking day for some farming. Spring-sown cover crop going in following an over-winter cover crop. Perfect conditions after 4mm of rain. using SFI to clean up dirty fields and provide a habitat for nature, going to be such a shame if/when we loose this.

Really pleased with how all the wheat has come through the winter, looking like it’s got some real potential. Urea being applied this week giving us 100kg of N

DMJ laying a new scheme on 15ha, hopefully won’t lose another crop of wheat this time around.

Laying a couple of land drains across the tramline to dry up some wet holes and ruts. #wheat coming along nicely

[Ben Neave @agri_ben]

#Wheat starting to appear in rows now. 3l/ha glyphosate applied, no other inputs. Will there be a need for an autumn herbicide ? Buckwheat, linseed and oats also providing a food source over winter for the birds

Winter wheat drilling kicked off last night, drilling into over summer cover crop. Going to be interesting to see how this one turns out.

Spring drilling of to a flying start, Planet barley going into an overwintered cover crop. The frost has killed the cover crop off and glyphosate applied yesterday to take out the surviving weeds #directdrill @CaseIH_UK_IRE @HORSCHUK

[Ben Neave @agri_ben]

@grumpyfairmer @JikrRimmer @cudlydave @wheat_daddy Came out of a CR8.90, the crop was a mix of OSR, vetch and phacilia so wasn’t really after a “clean sample” 👍

First load with the @KtwoLtd roadeo. Should make an easy job of tipping in the cattle shed conversion. Great bit of kit

[Ben Neave @agri_ben]

Drilling spring oats into a multi species cover crop at 140kg/ha. Using 6.5l/ha diesel. 2nd year of no till and going a treat
