@daphne_mir @CorrieJN @evornithology Fun fact: most of the blue color we see on earth are structural colour. Only few of blue pigment naturallly occurred in earth e.g: Lapis Lazuli. We might find cobalt blue, but cobalt are extraterrestrial matters (CMIIW)😁 & most of blue pigment we use in daily life are synthetic.

@daphne_mir @CorrieJN @evornithology Fantastic pic! the blue in the bird feather are “structural colour” instead of a “pigmented colour”. Structural colour means that the microstructure of its feather scattering the light and reflecting the blue spectrum that we see 😃.
