@goodfoodeveryday just an observation for editors of GoodFood Vegetarian Christmas magazine to consider; maybe a Maldon salt advert with a roast chicken for the back cover wasn’t a good choice? Maldon advert didn’t work for me in this setting at all either!
Today is not lost on me #WorldSightDay2024 Living with as well as supporting someone with impaired vision & currently recovering from eye surgery-reminds you every day how precious sight is. Globally-many still don’t have access to basic eyecare 😢 never take sight for granted.
The Duchess of Edinburgh will read the BBC CBeebies Bedtime Story next Thursday to mark #worldsightday.
Sophie is global ambassador for the International Agency for the Precention of Blindness.
Nice specs, particularly given the charity connection ⬇️
One of the best decisions of my life was moving my family to Devon.
Here is our current BMJ advert about CAMHS psychiatry posts. Please contact me to discuss the opportunities.

@roryconn Interesting article. https://t.co/oLJgDeoMye technology can be a positive game changer- but problematic use is unhealthy and damaging (in adults too) As something their parents won’t have grown up with- they may also feel lost to give support/ really understand?
@simonjamesjupp How is this even allowed let alone thought to be acceptable by SWW. It makes People & animals get sick. Folk just laugh at our blue flag. (understandably). This is NOT OK. The government needs to stop this. What is being done? #sickofsewage#cleanwater
Starting to incubate eggs today-waited for oak trees to come into leaf so hopefully there will be plenty of caterpillars for the chicks when hatched 🐛( they can eat 100/ chick/ day !) Mate making sure she is well fed whilst keeping the eggs warm 👍 #bluetit#nature#gardenbirds
@roryconn Our school has a target of 97% attendance rate and individual target of 90% it only takes you to be ‘unlucky ‘ with a few nasty infections & throw in 1-2 days of hospital appointments ( which count towards target) & you are over your limit🙈 😢
@roryconn So much time must be needless wasted on processing/ chasing up families doing the right thing for their children- when taking away the stress and anxiety of this would be a long way there to finding a solution!
@roryconn 2/2 they won’t learn and will struggle to survive a day if they are ill- but school and council policies & targets make you feel guilty for doing the right thing for your child. Then they wonder why we have a toxic work culture of people turning up when clearly too ill to work….
@roryconn 1/2 makes me so sad and angry. We have had letters about ‘persistent absence’ for several years. I have decided if I get one this year it is going straight in the bin. My child is only ever off school if too ill to attend or has a hospital appointment (difficult to rearrange)
@roryconn This is staggering :( . Whole system approach needed to fix this. Do you think it is a combination of more recognition of MH conditions but also lack of appropriate structure & resources to support CYP with ‘normal’ challenges faced when growing up? ( and global pandemic…)
@jassij1984 😢 just no words to describe this heartbreakingly tragic situation….. and for all the stories we hear about I know there will be countless other lives ripped apart.
