I am serious (and quite sad honestly) when I say this....but it seems this new investor/owner/hedge fund...is sucking the entire heart out of the Southwest brand in search of their own profit. And we are not the only ones who see this happening (as I am sure your poor social media team tells you daily). This is not good, guys ☹

Someone, or a bunch of you, or a grip of us, needs to stand up to this chap (I can only assume it's a banker bro who couldn't care less about Herb's vision and passion) and tell them this is NOT what @SouthwestAir was built on.

This is NOT US. We are NOT every other airline intent on squeezing every dollar out of its passengers...so don't try that in our house. WE ARE a family, something unique in the sky, THE BEST airline in North America, hands down THE BEST frequent flier program in the entire world, something that brings a smile when we all get to the airport, stewards who make jokes on the mic during boarding and always make us laugh, free snacks with a smile, no baggage or change fees ever, and a whole LOT of LOVE...THAT IS the Southwest MAGIC, and THAT is why people fly Southwest Airlines....we are not a money-grubbing machine that will step on its employees or customers in search of the almighty dollar or PE ratio.

Money isn't everything, as Herb taught you...and us. YOU have built a brand that is respected the world over, for a reason, don't lose your way...we LOVE YOU!
