There's hundreds of boomers on here calling us slurs and saying we're "blowing this out of proportion" and we CANNOT prove them right. Sharing misinformation weakens our whole stance against Skizz, and diminishes it into "kids intentionally misinterpreting stuff to be mad about"

@MintyToast2228 The thing is, Skizz wasn't joking though. He was earnestly telling Scar that if anyone would have reason to kts, it would be him, because of the severity of his disabilities. I think it's telling how he said "I don't mean to get dark" before making his comment.

@MintyToast2228 I'm not trying to contribute to harassment against Skizz, that's why I'm encouraging people to share the clip itself rather than their personal interpretations of it. Harassment would be piling on blame for something he didn't do, not holding him accountable for what he did do.

@ahaandotexe As a disabled person quite a few people have expressed this sort of take with me irl. It's not the best way to describe admiring someone's work ethic and determination despite disabilities and illness, but sometimes words are hard. The intent behind the actual phrasing matters.

@aleblanco19871 @ahaandotexe @xisumavoid I take care of my grandma, I do get annoyed by her because, well, she's old and with old age comes hearing problems, walking problems and hygiene problems. Not once would I call her a giant germ, especially not when referring to a disability she has.

@testtubetango Exactly. I cannot understand how Skizz can sit there patting himself on the back while half of his audience is called slurs for being upset with his actions.
"I want to create a space for content for everyone" yet he's curating a space for us to be dehumanized.

@aleblanco19871 @ToastTricksterJ @xisumavoid and of course, you can make jokes about being disabled without being offensive, but this WAS offensive. it was insulting and perpetuating the stereotype that all disabled people are "dirty" and unfit for society.

I don't think skizz MEANT to be ableist, but he was.
