Mawlid al-Nabi Mubarak to Muslims in New York City and around the world.
Today, we honor the life and enduring legacy of Prophet Muhammad (May Peace Be Upon Him), whose teachings of compassion, generosity, justice, faith, and service have inspired communities for more than 1,400 years.
Here in New York City, his example reminds us that caring for one another, embracing our diversity, and serving our communities, makes us stronger as we work to build a better New York City for everyone.
Wishing joy, peace, and blessings upon all who celebrate.
I’m a Jewish survivor of neonazi violence. Mark Ruffalo donated his time & resources to aid my friends & I from March For Our Lives to educate voters & raise awareness regarding issues of violence in our society. I reject Paramount’s baseless, defamatory attack against Mr Ruffalo
So: naming the crime is the offense, the one who names it is the guilty, and the one who commits it stands above scrutiny: what a combination of stupidity and viciousness.
Victims are honored by making no more victims not by granting perpetrators impunity.
And @MarkRuffalo rocks!
“That child had a genetic issue. It was not being starved by Israel.”
— @VanJones68 with perhaps his most disgusting remark yet.
The baby had a genetic issue AND was being starved by Israel AND the starvation exacerbated the condition. Absolutely sickening from somebody who used to know better.
🇮🇱🇵🇸 These guys are pure scum.
Settlers stole a Palestinian farmer’s donkey in the South Hebron Hills and dragged the poor animal behind their vehicle until it died, kicking and struggling the whole way.
Absolute cowards who get off on crushing the helpless.

The accusation that I am antisemitic is appalling and fundamentally dishonest. Criticizing the actions of the Israeli prime minister, a military technology contract, or the executives who supply it is not the same as criticizing Jewish people. This critical and necessary dialogue is then dishonestly framed as being anti-Israel. To be clear, my views come from my own political convictions and should never be interpreted as hostility toward Jewish people, for whom I have deep love and respect. Everything I know about acting, activism, and humanism has been profoundly shaped by the Jewish friends, colleagues, and loved ones who have been integral and family throughout every point of my life.
This merger has real consequences for real people, and for the entire country. Scrutinizing the Ellisons, including Oracle’s business built on data, surveillance technology and government contracts, and the serious threat to editorial freedom and the loss of a livelihood for thousands of families, is fair and necessary. The $111 billion deal would hand one family control over CNN, HBO and Warner Bros., backed in part by foreign money whose influence on editorial decisions has never been fully explained to the public.
Lawmakers on both sides of the aisle have called for serious national security review, and regulators still haven’t given the public a real answer. Until they do, the merger shouldn’t move forward. Now is the time to dive boldly into all these issues, not step back or concede.
We strongly condemn the Israeli military prosecutor’s account of the deaths of our seven colleagues on April 1, 2024. And we fundamentally disagree with their decision about criminal investigations into the IDF airstrikes that killed our team.

The IDF decision is wrong and is painful for all of us. There was no excuse for their attacks on our team. There is no excuse for any attacks on any humanitarians. We will never ever forget our friends, our heroes, who were killed in Gaza. They lost their lives trying to feed hungry people. We will never stop fighting for truth and justice for them, for their families, for all humanitarians.
“I’m not talking because every time I talk, blood comes out of my mouth and makes my dress dirty, and I don’t want my mom to have to clean it.”
Hind Rajab’s last words to the paramedics she was on the phone with before Israeli soldiers pumped 355 bullets into the car she was in.
Unacceptable new sanctions imposed by the USA against the International Criminal Court’s President and a prosecution staff member must be lifted.
@volker_turk renews his calls on States to stand in defence of the institutions they have created to uphold and defend human rights and the rule of law – and to protect court officials targeted by such reprisals.
⚖️ The Trump administration sanctioned ICC President Tomoko Akane and senior trial lawyer Abdoulaye Seye for pursuing accountability for grave crimes.
The Guardian’s Andrew Roth reports that Seye is investigating Israeli crimes in Gaza and, according to Israeli media, Israeli funding for illegal settlements and weapons supplied to West Bank settlers.
Netanyahu celebrated the move on X, called the ICC a “kangaroo court” and praised Marco Rubio for making its officials “face consequences.” Rubio says his campaign aims to “dismantle” the court.
UN Special Rapporteur Margaret Satterthwaite called the sanctions “a shocking betrayal of the Nuremberg promise.” Washington has sanctioned at least 11 ICC officials, including prosecutor Karim Khan, who secured arrest warrants for Netanyahu and former Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant. Four rights groups have sued Trump, saying the measures obstruct justice for war-crime victims.
I hate the diaspora so much. They did what decades of whiteoid abuse and Zionist propaganda didn't and made me feel shame about blood. Imagining wanting to be in showbiz so bad you become Bill Maher's eunuch.
