Something I noticed about people who bounce back fast: They don't build a story around the pain. Something bad happens. They feel it. They move on. No three-week analysis of what it means about them. No "why does this always happen to me." No turning one event into proof that the universe is against them. The event was just an event. Most people aren't wrecked by what happened to them. They're wrecked by the six months they spent replaying it.
Internet brain is making us all profoundly dumber. Digital slop is destroying our attention spans. Study after study shows declines in focus, critical thinking, and literacy. One of the most counter-culture things you can do right now is read a book.
Yeah. It is always nice when we stumble across an oasis full of refreshing perspectives. Sometimes it helps recalibrate one's thinking. Other times it opens one's mind to new thinking.
When will I be considered Kenyan enough?Shall I walk with my passport on my forehead? Carry documents from 4 generations of my family like birth certificates, to prove a point? Ancestry chart in my pocket? The obsession with policing identity is exhausting. Ignorance is a choice.
Day 9 of building intuition: Make low-stakes decisions fast. Give yourself a rule: decide in under 30 s for small things. What to eat, what to wear, whether to reply now or later.Intuition strengthens through reps. Overthinking trivial choices trains distrust in your inner signal
Day 8 of building intuition: as you go about your life, don’t give 100 % of your attention to the external world and to your mind. Keep some with and ask yourself, “Did that activity/person energize me or drain me?”
the AI bubble will accidentally trigger a human renaissance
here's what will happen between now and 2030:
phase 1 (2026-2027):
> everyone automates everything
> productivity goes through the roof
> we celebrate never having to think again
phase 2 (2028-2029):
> mass digital burnout
> people realize they've outsourced their cognitive abilities
> depression rates spike because nothing feels earned anymore
phase 3 (2030+):
> the pendulum swings hard in the opposite direction
> outdoor experiences become the new luxury
> manual skills and human connection become premium
> we start valuing struggle and effort again
the faster we rush toward full automation, the faster we'll crave what makes us fundamentally human
that's what i'm hoping for anyway
