So I finally built up the courage to read my SSA application file. I needed to know what was missing.
But no one prepared me for how devastating it is to be called a liar over and over again, in print, by a government agency.
Oof, that one hurt.
@PanickedFoodie Haha, I’d like to see that. Thanks. I’ll try, we have so many cat toys. It’s a lil over the top. I got the one that’s supposed to avoid cat vomit so hopefully we’ll be good there, just in case. It’ll be trial and error I’m sure!
Using a GIF, what was your first job?
(I taught people how to use contacts at an optometrist’s office. And secretarial stuff but that’s not nearly as fun in GIF. I loved working with that OD, we’re still in touch 20+yrs later.)
@DiaryofaSickGrl Yes, it was helpful at first but I’m not sure anymore; it’s been a few years. IV fluids are the only thing that undeniably for sure help.
Took me 3hrs to do TSA Pre☑️ on Friday. After, I dropped off my package at the post office to update my passport (hadn’t changed to married name.) Found out today the incompetent tech put in my maiden name for Pre app, now it’s approved under wrong name. 😤
I’m so tired. 😮💨
@MLS_Dave I’ve eaten on porches since the pandemic but only when they’re not crowded/few people around. I don’t mind being cold or a little wet to be safe 😉
Last inside was a soup and salad place, mid-Feb 2020. If I’d known, we would have gone much nicer!
@chronicallybeee I think the argument is (disingenuously) being made that people are using gloves INSTEAD of hand hygiene. Which, ew. 🤢
But absolutely gloves protect both ways when used appropriately.
@JaymetheRN No, It was pretty different. There were aspects I loved (my patients) but in general I wish I’d gone a different route. I wouldn’t be medically retired/as disabled now if I’d had a desk job from day 1.
