Second tournament of the day. The girls did fantastic and represented the school so so well.
They displayed all of our school values of Effort, Spirit, Standards and Achievement. Big thank you to all the staff involved in planning and running of this event @EssaAcademy
Unbelievable achievement by all these superstars! The staff were amazing too.
A big thank you to @Panathlon for hosting such a well run and brilliant event 😊
⚽️ Free CPD for PE Teachers ⚽️
England Football's online PE CPD for teachers course is designed to increase confidence in the delivery of engaging, inclusive, high-quality PE lessons through the invasion game of football ⤵️

@prosportcoachin@calum_prosport@Zoe_ProSport I've voted for Gymnastics. I've been teaching it all year to different children in different classes in different schools. I love teaching it and the children love doing it! They've definitely gained from this as they have missed out on Creative movement activities during covid.
Does it annoy anyone else that QTS is a requirement for "The Level 4 in Supporting Pupils Well Being Through PE?". Surely a course with this kind of content should be open to all. What are your thoughts on this? #PrimaryPEshare
@daleharris2203 @MrsBPearson 2. I have done a few online courses which were helpful but not the same as going on an actual course and getting the content and expertise in person. But the way with covid I don't see this changing anytime soon sadly ☹️
@daleharris2203 @MrsBPearson 1. Going to reply to this now or else I'll probs forget 😂 I usually do plan ahead for the year but with a lot of organisations/governing bodies still doing most courses/CPD's online and not delivering face-face training days and courses; it makes it difficult to plan
House of Lords ‘National Plan for Sport & Recreation Committee’ in support for:
• PE to become CORE subject
• Government to work with ITT providers to ensure adequate time is allocated in teacher training
• Primary PE & sport premium to be maintained

@lipa_nessa@DCMS I couldn't agree more. Here in the north west I have seen the same. Children from BAME communities are opting against extra-curricular participation in sports clubs. Now more than ever is the time to get active as children everywhere have missed out on so much as it is!
@pe_aylward It would be great if we could see the activity in action? Looks great and will definitely be something I'll be nicking for my KS1 Gymnastic lessons 😄
@MrsBPearson Do schools have a separate kit for outdoor PE (hoodies and tracky bottoms) as well as the normal indoor PE kit? What do PE leads think of this? My old school had 2 kits and it was a great system in my eyes. Not financially overbearing on parents either in my eyes
