Building a future-ready healthcare ecosystem requires constant monitoring, innovation and timely execution.
Today, I chaired a comprehensive review meeting of institutions and organisations under the Department of Medical Education & Research, covering medical education, healthcare infrastructure, health insurance, cancer care, research, innovation and AYUSH services.
We reviewed the functioning of Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences, the progress of faculty recruitment and infrastructure development in medical colleges, implementation of Atal Amrit Abhiyan, healthcare projects under AHIDMS, expansion of cancer care services through Assam Cancer Care Foundation, and innovation initiatives of the Assam Advanced Healthcare Innovation Institute.
Directions were issued to ensure timely completion of projects, strengthen healthcare delivery, improve the quality of medical education and enhance inter-institutional coordination, all towards our vision of a Swasthyawan Assam.
