Before the chess game in Brussels with the Prime Minister of Belgium, Bart de Wever, I was asked whether I was prepared to play against him. My answer was: "I just played against my own country's PM two months ago. So yes, I am ready for the challenge." 😉
In the Ruy Lopez Steinitz variation, he created an irresponsible weakness by playing f6, and I won. I could truly feel his great enthusiasm for chess, especially since he came to the @ChessandMates event straight after landing from India.

Zaira, you speak of freedom while conveniently forgetting the freedom India gave you to enter Bollywood, work in mainstream cinema, make films, win national recognition and ultimately walk away from it by your own choice. Nobody stopped you.

Yet when Kashmiri children exercise their own freedom by singing, dancing and celebrating India on Independence Day, you call them “stage props” and turn their celebration into a religious and intellectual controversy.

A Waqf Board being a religious institution does not make Independence Day an alien celebration. Muslims being Muslim does not make them less Indian. And Kashmiri children celebrating India should not be treated as something requiring ideological justification.

What is genuinely troubling is the suggestion that an Indian national celebration is somehow alien to a Kashmiri Muslim institution, something it should be expected to question rather than embrace. That framing says far more about the prejudice behind the argument than about the children on that stage.

You had the freedom to choose your place in India. Have the grace to allow Kashmiri children the same freedom to choose their place in it, and celebrate India.

Yeah, I mean I've grown up playing Egyptians for since I've started playing squash, so it doesn't really affect me so much when I go into court. It's just like playing in either opponent, no matter what the nationality is. But yeah, I mean doing it and getting close to doing it after Joshna, like you said, she's um I've been growing up like looking at her playing the tournaments and you know, watching her play squash, and I've really been inspired by her. So, I think just getting to do it after her is something that I'm really happy about."

I mean the tournaments just ended. So, I think just going back and talking to my coaches about it and seeing, you know, playing more of the senior events now cuz I'm not a junior anymore. In the melee of #CockroachProtests we have not noticed the spectacular failure #BJP media team including ITCell. Total inability to create a narrative to counter hateful well crafted narrative of Left Ecosystem. They didn’t go beyond memes or whataboutry.

Their attention seems to be more on stalking well-wishers who, on some occasions, also criticize BJP honestly & positively, and threatening or abusing them. Harshvardhan ji @MediaHarshVT knows this just like me.
That #Modi ji had to put in his all to retrieve the situation, even make a reel at midnight reflects poorly on BJP communication. My heart breaks. Hence this bitter post.

BJP Media seems to have no connect with the ground, no feedback mechanism obviously, and did not understand youth anger built over months, not just on NEET. NEET was the straw on their back.

People like me speak from field experience, not excel sheets or ppts. My criticism 2024 served BJP wonderfully well.

Yes, I will keep struggling for success of nationalist forces, support BJP but speak up where required. For people like me Nation comes first.
