My friend died of breast cancer two years ago.
She fought it for a long time, but unfortunately, she didn't make it.
She left behind a daughter who was already engaged at the time.
The wedding was supposed to happen a few months after her mother's burial.
Then, about six weeks before the wedding, her fiancé suddenly called everything off.
His reason?
He said he was afraid she might develop breast cancer too.
He told her, “Your mother had it. What if you inherit it?
I don't want to spend my life worrying about that.”
The poor girl was shattered.
Not just because the wedding was cancelled.
But because the man she thought loved her had suddenly started looking at her like she was a medical risk.
People were angry with him.
Even some of his own friends told him he had handled it terribly.
But he stood by his decision.
The wedding was cancelled.
She eventually moved on with her life.
Then, almost a year later, I ran into someone who knew her ex-fiancé very well.
We started talking, and somehow his name came up.
Happy birthday to me, Dada!
I give all honour and glory to God for the gift of life, grace, and another beautiful year.
I shall continue to be great, and I will always be a light wherever I go.
Wishing you a fruitful week.
As you take another step towards making greater strive, endeavour to do things right.

Humans are manipulative.
Even if all doors seem closed & you feel like you’re facing a dead end, the Almighty can & will provide alternative solutions to your problem. Keep a look out for new opportunities. Often we are so hung up on the closed doors that we fail to see what’s there.
