🌙 Prayers for Ahmadis in Pakistan🌙
“We shall offer silent prayer. In our prayers, first and foremost, pray for those Ahmadis in Pakistan who, because of the cruel laws, are making sacrifices of life and property.”
Beloved Huzoor (aba) drew attention to the painful reality faced by Ahmadis in Pakistan, explaining that they are unable to openly worship, offer Eid prayers, or even perform the sacrifice of animals within their own homes.
“Even if they are performing the sacrifice inside the house, this too is considered a very major crime for them.”
Despite these hardships and restrictions, Ahmadis in Pakistan continue to remain steadfast in faith and sacrifice.

Miss Hidayat Budd of Amsterdam, The Netherlands, a century ago, presented a thoughtful reflection on fasting in Islam, describing Ramadan as a practice that cultivates spiritual growth, moral discipline, and compassion for humanity.
In the history of all religions, fasting has played an important part. In many religions its purpose is to appease an incensed god or to indicate mourning and distress; in Islam, to the contrary, the real purpose and true meaning of fasting is spiritual growth.
“O you who believe, fasting has been prescribed for you, as it was prescribed for those before you, so that you may become righteous.”
For a man who wishes to develop himself spiritually, fasting is an absolute necessity.
The quantity and kind of food a man takes influence his mental system. Overfeeding leads to physical breakdown and mental stupor, whereas in a period of fasting the thoughts are clearer, the will is stronger, the man himself purer, and the soul is able to soar in the higher realms.
During Ramadan the Muslim abstains from food and drink from sunrise to sunset and also avoids worldly joys. This month makes a Muslim realise that if he can lead a pure life for one month, it is possible during the whole year and throughout life.
The injunction to fast is followed by the injunction to give alms, because only he who knows the pangs of hunger can truly sympathise with the poor. In Ramadan even the richest Muslim prince is like his poorest subject, creating deeper sympathy and closer friendship between the rich and the poor.

Muslims across the globe await the blessed month of Ramadan with deep longing and excitement. As the fast is broken and the day gently fades, the hearts of believers turn towards the mosque, drawn by a special act of worship that has become one of the beloved symbols of this blessed month: the tarawih prayer.
Tarawih is a special voluntary prayer performed during the nights of Ramadan after the Isha obligatory prayer. It commonly consists of eight rak’aat followed by three rak’aat of witr, though some perform twenty or thirty-six. The word tarawih comes from the Arabic root r-w-h, carrying meanings of rest, relaxation and comfort. Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani (rh) explains that tarawih is the plural of tarwihah, a single instance of taking rest, as the Companions would pause after every four rak’aat.
The origin of tarawih dates back to the blessed time of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (sa), who performed it in congregation for a few nights but discontinued it, saying he feared it might be made obligatory. During the time of Umar ibn al-Khattab (ra), Muslims were gathered behind one reciter, establishing it as a communal practice.
The tarawih prayer holds immense spiritual significance. Whoever prays at night in Ramadan out of sincere faith and hoping for reward will have previous sins forgiven.
It is usually performed with long recitations of the Holy Quran, strengthening reflection and connection with the words of Allah. One of the main objectives of Ramadan is to attain spiritual purification and taqwa.
Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as) stated that tarawih is not a separate prayer but, in reality, tahajjud offered earlier in the night.
The lasting Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (sa) was eight rak’aat, though twenty were introduced later. Voluntary sacrifices, especially collective ones like tarawih, create a magnificent spiritual awakening within the community and lead a believer towards the deeper, more rewarding prayer of tahajjud.

Shocked by news of the of the terrorist attack on worshippers during the ‘ Jummah’ Friday prayers at the Bait-ul- Mahdi Mosque in the heart of Rabwah #Pakistan with several seriously injured. One terrorist was killed another is on the run. The continued targeting of the #Ahmadi Muslims goes against every principle of the vision of Qaid e Azam #MuhammadAliJinnah - of freedom of faith and worship. I call upon both PM @CMShehbaz and Chief Minister @MaryamNSharif not only to afford justice and protection to the community, but hunt down these terrorists and curb the extremist fanatics who continue to cause untold damage to the standing of Islam and Pakistan 🇵🇰 on the world stage.
