@FR3NKD I stopped promoting Godot because of this type of behavior. The clowns turned the Godot community into a social justice platform.
Also, received 0 support when I released my game many years ago when there were very few games being made in Godot. I will never forget that ☠️
@SVegvari I would love to see perpetual licenses, not just for games, but for movies, music and books as well. One life-life time license that gives you access to your content on every platform and any device.
@vineerpasam Yes, it makes it easy to find errors when dealing with hundred thousand lines of data. Instead of going line by line that would take months, it now only takes a few minutes. A python script can only fix stuff if you already know what needs to be fixed!
@GendoWasRight It's actually a good thing, payment processors like Stripe will appreciate this... imagine 20 million people buying day one, ouch. Having all those purchases spread out is great to keep things smooth for everybody involved.
@Pirat_Nation The communists don't like it when non-state entities have ownership over their own production.
Are children being brainwashed through gaming to serve and spread communism?
@MADkurious There are many unique games from all the way back in the 80s that didn't make enough money for the developer to justify innovating and making a second game. This makes me think about how many unique games were never made because the dev gave up or simply couldn't afford creating.
@asaio87 The problem with AI is that it is based on "hallucination" even for something as hard as data... it hallucinates data, that's extremely problematic no matter how advanced a model becomes.
I cannot trust that, ever.
@Levonaxper ...and all gamers want are cheap consoles and cheap games.
It's a transactional relationship, stop pretending there was anything else.
In other news, those who are complaining suffer from parasocial-syndrome?
@StopKilingGames@DoesItPlay1 Sony built their own marketplace for software, just like google, apple, amazon, steam, etc.
Nobody is forcing you to buy a Playstation.
P.S. it's going to get worse. Indies flooding the marketplaces which triple-A help built is the problem and will lead to consequences.
@Pirat_Nation It's almost like an album of photos of your loved ones. She will be able to login and experience the things her child spent time on, how they built their character, the quests they did, the people he met online, this is valuable. I hope the mother finds peace in both heart & mind
@CodeWithTamara In that case it doesn't matter, it is like approving the code from a junior programmer.
Still can't copyright it though without lying about it.
I tell 4-8 AIs to solve a problem, then spend hours dissecting their solutions to expand my expertise AND THEN write my own solution.
@StopKilingGames I think this will make it clearer for consumers who never read the EULA. Now gamers can skip reading the EULA and companies can avoid the headache of trying to explain the difference between buying a burger vs buying a license for a software.
@ExoGhost The real problem is the game itself that allows such movements. This wouldn't be possible if every movement had a delay and worked more like real life physics. Even mouse movement should be punished, just as you get punished irl when flipping your head all over the place.
@gotanyfoodhuh@eurogamer@grok is it true that EULAs are not bound by law? Is creepykoala correct and I am wrong about the importance of reading business agreements before accepting/purchasing?
